What is the overall plan?
The plan is to implement a creative intervention specifically tasked with improving a client’s mindfulness through different strategies and techniques, in order to find the best long-term fit.
How will the 6 week intervention program look? Timetable? Training program?
The program will feature multiple functioning parts. A scheduled time table (as seen below), will be used to display the consistency of the intervention and act as a literal reminder for each event of the program; providing an aspect of organisation and familiarising the idea of working alongside a calendar.
An online questionnaire will provide basic questions in order to calculate the client’s current ratings in each aspect of mindfulness, including observation, description, awareness, non-judgemental characteristics and initial response.
Results of questionnaire will enable my partner-Kimberley-Jean- and I to adapt the schedule and focus more specifically and critically on certain factors within the client’s current lifestyle and the program itself that are encouraging a lack of well-being improvement.
In response to the first results of both Metilda and Chris’s mindfulness initiation questionnaires, four strategies have been implemented into the depths of their busy lifestyles. Each strategy will cover an aspect of mindfulness.
- Sunday Sleeps: a day of scheduled resting, relaxing and reminder-free
- Meditation Monday: traditional ‘lotus’ position in a comfortable environment for a duration of 1 hour
- Wacky Wednesday: a pampering day filled with baths, face masks and relaxing
- Food and Family Friday: quality family time and social interaction as well as a monitored diet of unhealthy foods and alcohol consumption
Mondays will be for reconnecting with the body and managing stress. Wednesdays will be for determining the activities you like to do to relax. Fridays will be for growing confidence in social interactions and confiding in others. Sundays will be for resting and energizing your body after a long week of changes.

The questionnaire will be retaken by each client after the first week for the completion of the sixth week only, in addition to a weekly update of personal feedback from the client in response to the trialling stages of the program in order to plot their mindfulness journey and reflect on the week just passed.

The results of each week will be rated on the client’s ‘Happy Meter’ which will be updated every week. The happy meter will determine how emotionally challenging or rewarding the past week’s strategies have been for the client.

The separate happy meters are than plotted onto a dot graph (using the same units of measurement as the happy meters), where the ups and downs of the program and client journey can be seen visually.

The documenting process of the program is then finalised and completed until the next week.
Have you needed to seek medical advice/information?
No, as the activities are simple and do not require any medical advice.
Have you obtained a client consent for social media posts?
Yes, the clients have given consent for both the program and its postings. However at certain requests, photos have been asked not to share without further permission from the clients.
Have you had your interventions seen by a teacher to check for suitability/safety?
Yes, we have had a teacher check in for the foundation of the program, but the full extent of its structure has yet to be approved. However, all activities do not require fitness or are strenuous on the body; all strategies are to improve mindfulness and happy general living.
