Welcome

“Mindfulness is the aware, balanced acceptance of the present experience. It isn’t more complicated than that. It is opening to or receiving the present moment. Pleasant or unpleasant. Just as it is. Without either clinging to it or rejecting it.”

– Sylvia Boorstein

~Our program~

Hello lovely readers!

Welcome to the digitalized inner headspace of our hard-working friend, the brain.

Now, I think we can all ‘whole-heartedly’ agree that our friend works non-stop in keeping us up to speed with the roller-coaster of thoughts, feelings and experiences that is life. As a therapeutic form of communication, the brain puts on multiple persona to manage your body’s response to challenges, including a voice of reason, source of knowledge, stress reliver, inner calendar, the makings of a best friend and at times, your worst enemy.

Due to such a reliant connection, however, our body’s tendency to depend on our brain can begin to cause problems.

Whilst our friend has our best interests at heart, the complex system of the brain and its ‘intricate mechanisms’ does create quite the challenge for researchers to obtain accurate or relevant information on psychological processes, such as human cognition, brain and nervous system disorders, mental health and well-being (HMRI, 2019).

How the human anatomy copes with such an active presence is through categorising the effects into common solutions. These are known as the five dimensions of health-our trusty backseat drivers to the brain- physical, mental, social, spiritual and cognitive.

My program is specifically designed to tackle a lack of mindfulness.

Without the ability to navigate through the struggles and hardships of life, your brain becomes overworked. Being a brain becomes the worst job ever; no pay, working 24/7 and no improvements in sight. You’ll have to start paying double for your most helpful and dedicated employee. And a promotion.

Since a more notably missing mindfulness-shaped hole within a majority of urban and rural population is now present, it is now up to us to share and develop solutions to bringing back our inner calendar and giving our brains their long-awaited and well-deserved day off.

If you are interested in trialling this program, don’t be afraid to follow this blog and sign up for participation. Don’t forget to consult with your doctor so as to keep you safe.

As always, looking forward to meeting you all.

You’ll be tested, but never bested.

You’ll be challenged, but what’s life without a challenge, am I right?
